This week, we read about the Chinese New Year and compared and contrasted it with the United States New Year. We know that the Chinese New Year is celebrated for 15 days! One thing we wondered was, "When is the Chinese New Year celebrated?" Can you find the answer to this question?

Measure the perimeter of one of your windows at home. Once you have your answer, you can post it in the comments below. OR if you don't have internet access, you can write it on a piece of paper and bring it to school tomorrow.
If you did not have a measuring tape, but you had a yard stick, how could you measure the distance around your wrist? You can also use other items in our classroom to help with this task :)
We learned today that Bessie Coleman, the first African-American female pilot, died at the age of 34, which is quite young. Why did she die at such a young age?
